The Thomas C. Slater Compassion Center, the premier medical cannabis dispensary in the Northeast, is looking for responsible, energetic and upbeat employees to join our growing team.

We want employees who are passionate about serving the medical cannabis community – from cultivating, preparing and packaging cannabis medicine to providing friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate service to our patients.

The ideal candidate will be a proven team player and/or leader with excellent communication and customer service skills, both oral and written. Knowledge of medical cannabis is useful, but not required. Retail, hospitality or other customer service experience is desirable.

We are currently looking for new employees for the following positions:

DELIVERY DRIVER / ONLINE SERVICES

Job Status          Hourly, Non-Exempt

Fulltime              35-55 hours per week

Salary                  $18.00 per hour

Schedule             12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays

General Summary of Duties:

Supervised by the Director of Security & Personnel, Delivery Drivers are responsible for all aspects of the delivery service of Slater products.  Delivery Drivers are expected to be knowledgeable friendly and helpful to support the overall customer experience – growing customer loyalty through pleasant interactions and excellent service.  Drivers should be good communicators with the ability to adhere to a flexible work schedule.  In addition to providing delivery services, Delivery Drivers will be responsible for processing of on-line and/or delivery orders.

Typical Physical Demands:

Delivery Drivers work in a dynamic environment, spending considerable time both indoors (in their vehicle) and outdoors (loading/unloading, interacting with customers). They often navigate varied routes, encountering busy traffic and diverse weather conditions. The job can be physically demanding, involving lifting and carrying packages, numerous interactions with customers and may require working long hours, especially during peak periods.

 Examples of Duties:

      • Manage multiple orders, delivery locations and customers at the same time.
      • Deliver orders within an optimal period of time, ensuring timely delivery of products and respect for customer preferences
      • Safely operate a vehicle in all types of weather conditions
      • Navigate local streets and highways efficiently using GPS software.
      • Communicate clearly with customers and other members of the Delivery Team, demonstrating an eagerness to work through any issues or points of confusion
      • Verify orders before each delivery and maintain a detailed, comprehensive manifest/log (will train).
      • Perform other tasks, as required

 Qualifications:

      • Must be at least 21 years old and meet all applicable background and licensing requirements.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, etc.
      • Proficiency in Flourish or similar seed-to-sale/POS system strongly preferred.
      • Must be punctual and reliable.
      • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
      • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
      • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
      • Excellent attention to detail, superior organizational skills
      • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal communication and conflict resolution
      • Cannabis industry experience preferred; genuine and extensive knowledge and passion for cannabis strongly preferred.
      • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
      • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
